GoldWave is a digital audio editor for Windows. The program has real-time oscilloscopes, intelligent editing, and numerous effects (including echo, flange, distortion, mechanize, and reverse). An intuitive user interface makes GoldWave easy to learn and use. Version 4.0 added an improved interface, time stretching, CD audio extraction, and vertical zooming. Version 4.24 added automatic cue points in CD extraction and level activated recording, increased batch conversion file list sizes, and a new SGN function in the evaluator tool. The version 4.25 update features improved Mark Silence feature under Cue Points tool, a new licensing system (for faster online licensing in the future), and a couple of fixes.
