ConceptDraw NetDiagrammer is complex designing program developed to help you create accurate network schematics (Network diagrams, directory services, Cisco network design, logical network design), floor and building plans and layouts, professional business diagrams, FlowCharts, maps and many more.
The program's interface is very well designed, well structured and very ergonomic. The toolbars are fully customizable in an 'MS Office' like manner; this thing provides you a very quick access to any tool you might need to use. Depending on your project, you can choose your predefined objects from the libraries in the side bar which is positioned on the left hand side of the program window. This sidebar includes categories of objects needed to create your projects: 'Computer Peripheral Devices', 'External digital Devices', 'Network Hardware', 'PC & MAC', 'Drawing Shapes', 'Fire Safety', etc. For example, if you want to design a Cisco network, clicking on the 'Cisco Generic Icons' will show you the entire collection of objects used to design Cisco networks.
Apart from that, you can choose to insert also other objects included in other categories. The objects are also customizable in terms of shape properties, text format, rotation and flipping and you can add hyperlinks to each and every one. Other features worth mentioning are the predefined drawing shapes and predefined connector tools.
As for the layout, you can add grid, rulers, guides, page breaks, you can zoom in and out. The program allows you to choose your measuring system and supports rich text capabilities. It can handle a large variety of file formats such as multimedia, raster, text, and vector.
Pluses: The export/import capabilities for a various number of file formats graphic, MS PowerPoint, text, XML, etc.; the supported FTP connection - you can open and save files hosted on a FTP server.
