This software can replace any icon which is embedded in a file. Supported file types include exe (executable files), dll (dynamic link library), cpl (control panel module), ocx (Windows program module), scr (screen saver) and ico. Although the file size doesn't change, it may become unusable because some software developers include a CRC check in their programs. The CRC check is used to verify the integrity of a file which otherwise could be compromised by a virus or other malware. This program automatically makes a backup before replacing any icons, so if the file doesn't work anymore you can replace it with the original by using the "Undo" button.
The interface of the software is very simple to use. It works like an installer, allowing you to replace the icons you want in a step by step process. The last step is somewhat harder to figure out, as you have to click on the hand being displayed between the icons.
I don't like the fact that I had to restart the whole process each time I wanted to replace another icon in the same file. I replaced more than one icon in an executable and then I realised that it wasn't working anymore. The sad thing was that I didn't make a backup of the executable myself. Each time I ran the software it made another backup so I didn't have the original file anymore. If you want to be on the safe side when replacing multiple icons be sure to make a safety copy yourself.
Pluses: Ease of use.
Drawbacks / flaws: Replacing multiple icons at the same time is not possible.
