MP3Producer is a CD grabber. But, like most of them, this one can grab the tracks, beside the MP3 format, also in other formats like OGG, WAV, WMA. Of course you can make conversions from WAV to MP3, OGG, or WMA. You can also change the formats from OGG and WMA to WAV. This is the part where I didn't understand why didn't they included also the MP3 to WAV conversion. For every format you can change the settings accordingly to what you like. For example for the OGG format you can change all its parametres: CBR Bitrate, ABR Bitrate, VBR Bitrate. By the MP3 format you can choose between the MPEG1 encoding and MPEG2 encoding.
Before extracting the files, you can edit their tags in ID3 Tag v1 or ID3 Tag v2. You can choose also the path where the files should be saved. The advanced FreeDB function, allows you to edit the files like in their original format (album, artist, genre, title), connecting itself to the internet and getting all the needed informations.
There still are some bugs:
1 - I have started the application without entering a CD into the drive. After I did, the application couldn't scan the files from the CD.
2 - The settings button had no use to me. It always blocked the application when I pushed it.
Pluses: You can grab and convert the audio CD in almost any format. Very easy to use and cheap.
Drawbacks / flaws: there is no MP3 to WAV conversion; the processing speed is very slow (one audio CD in MP3 conversion=aprox. 9min.)
In conclusion: They still have to work at this application in order to obtain a high quality product.
